4-4-2 ND ( Narrow Diamond )

I'd love to read your opinions/experience using the 4-4-2 ND ( Narrow Diamond ).
Not asking how to counter it, but how to play/use it, so I can get the most out of the players.
What/where are the pros and cons, against which formations should I expect to struggle ?
Which are the "key players" in the said formation, instructions ( home & away ), what kind of bonus should I use ( home & away ) ?
Would love a detailed "picture" if possible.

I thought that's an easy answer... never knew it'll be like "What's inside of a black hole" or "Why Stephen Hawking warns us about the aliens" lol, I just ask for a certain formation
