Hmm, i have the same formation to play against tonight but is for the C.L .
I think that if we play 4-4-2 flat with down both flanks , mixed passing , zonal marking, whole pitch pressing and normal mentality , with red arrows on DR DL MR MR we can beat them. But iam not 100% sure .
Anyone can suggested other formation?
Iam sure that we have to attack them from the flanks and we must block their mc
Or can play 4-1-4-1 ( No AMC)

I start with 4-1-4-1 and then i turn to 4-4-2
Ball possesion in all game was 60-40 for me
A 4-5-1 V Style formation can take advantage of the flanks of the diamond with an AML and AMR as well as defend against the AMC by using a DMC.
4-5-1 V Style:

Another variation on countering the narrow diamond would be by using the 4-3-2-1:
4-3-2-1

AML———AMR
—MC-MC-MC—
–DL-DC-DC-DR–
Although there is no DMC with the 4-3-2-1 it is still a very effective attacking formation to counter the Diamond with, mainly because of the strong middle as well as having attacking flanks.
If during the match you feel the AMC is taking advantage, then a simple (DOWN) arrow would be placed on the middle MC which in turn effectively would be turning this formation into a 4-5-1 V Style.
Press whole pitch to negate him from too much ball possession at your own half.
Other than that, I would use your current formation since it's the one that allows you to put your best players. With 3 STs and 2 fullback among your best players I don't think there are many solutions. 4-3-3.
