Played someone who had same quality as my team & beat me 4-1. I tried using 3N-1-3N-2W-1 with force counterattack tactics. Clearly that didn't win. Some extra info: My DMC was 3 quality better than his AMC and yet my DMC had a rating of 5. Not sure why.Attachment 7690

Never use DMC,one MC, and AMC in one front line.I tried it many times and I loose every time.I think you'll lose one player in this formation.

So hard defending, force counter, Long passes on 4-1-4-1. What tactics should I use for 3-5-2 V. My defense is slightly better than his offense, but his midfield will proobably overpower mine. My offense is equal to his defense.

Also put red arrows on your two strikers, play attacking with passing down the flanks, mixed passing style and pressing your own half with counter attacks on.
That's how I play and it has served me well
