I use 4 4 2 regularly and have found it to be a very strong & flexible formation if you give the right orders...

He is playing 4-4-2 and my mr/ml are not strong
a formation without winger and match all the good things you have , i can say is 4-3N-1-2 . 4-4-2 ND is not effective anymore against 4-4-2 classic. since there is no AMC in 4-4-2 classic. so no DMC is needed. 4-3N-1-2 is the best i can say. you should listen to other professional tactician too.
Perhaps go defensive with 5 at the back, 2 upfront & 3 across the middle? :confused:...
