For a start you shouldn't play counter attack with an attacking mentality, regardless of formation. Only use it with a defensive mentality.

I don't see any reason why you can't play a motivated 4-5-1 V-style. Red arrows just make them play more attacking, so on an AML/AMR it makes them play more like a striker. On a striker it makes them...
