This late in the season buddy, i wouldn't bother, as he'll lose a star next season and better players are available then. You'll get the most out of your scouts and value for money if you buy them...

Sometimes it's good to use simple maths too. Look at your players' condition and then the time between matches, and work out how much condition they will gain before you play them again...that way...

There's nothing clever about outbidding a token buyer, as they can just buy more, whilst you're out of valuable tokens that are much harder to obtain than him :)
