That formation is towards super-attacking with only 1DC and no DMC. If I was you, I would play 3N-3W-1MC-2AMC-1STR, attacking thru centre.

Like Phil advised, the cup draw is based on top 14 players. Since your team average is ard 6 stars, you will definitely be drawn against 1-3 levels higher than yours. Yes, it was a big disadvantage....
