Pretty sure it's a yes. If you stayed in the same division but didn't lose the 20%, there wouldn't be any chance of relegation (you'd already have enough points to stay in the same division next...

As we can see the first pic of Ahlony, if this team had also a 1* player, it wouldn't make much difference but you can't go far with a team of 3-4-5* players (but good performers)
