   Trail & error. Play him 3-4 games as DC and see his ratings, play him as DR and do the same ^^ I would probabbly leave him as DC but i would still try to find out where would he perform better.

    beside that, how do we know if its a real 9star D: ? maybe his friend is higher lvl or smth, he better tell his friend to get on the forum and share his exp with us ;P we need more people over here.
