Well, answer is both and more. When I open TM, I usually put on shortlist few players whose auction is near end. Then I track those transfers to find out how active market is, who are buyers etc....

My main team is on level 20 where average season wage of mine players (avQ high 4*) is ~10M so sum is ~200M for all players. Meanwhile, sponsor contract for one day is 1,23M, max. 34,44M for whole...
