Keep in mind that special ability like free o corner kick usually only work if defender same level o weaker, for example ur free kick specialist was 5 star so he scored against same o lower...

When a Special Ability kicks in a player is treated as One Star Higher...So if your player is 5 star and SA kicks in he will be treated as 6 star...Hope this clarifies your question...:)...
