looking at the screen shots theres a few things there like Potemy said, your formation could have been one of them.

Not necessarily just the strikers, you had 3 MCs and 2 DMCs, very defensive formation. Not much in the way of attack.

DML/DMR block movement from AML/AMR, MCs covered by your MCs. 3 DCs can easily cover one striker. DML/DMR will supply balls to your AML/AMR who will attack the flanks as 4-5-1 V is good in centre...

I agree with dv8r, but the butterfly has only 1 ST. :p 4-4-2 could work, it depends on the teams involved, but it's a very defensive formation, it's good to make use of AMs or DMs.
