   I played my whole first season with a player out of position, I don't know how much it affects the statistics, but I was able to win the league.

   I believe it is about -5% possession per player that is out of position.

   He will not be as good as he should be. But try to put your player in a position close to the position he plays. For exemple, a MC can play ML/MR and AMC is he have enough attack skills. But i guess...

   the value reflects not only their age and current quality but their training speed, so using the example you posted, you can safely assume that the 18yo ST who costs 1M despite being a weaker player...
