I'm having a similar issue, same everything and decent players brought in. 40% so top trained but losing a lot more games and strikers mid firing

Its certainly interesting that AML/ AMR's tend to score more goals- it's something that's not really been addressed yet. The animations are hilarious sometimes like when you have a chance and miss it...

I attempted to tank slightly last season when I realised I couldn't win the league without heftily investing more coins , so I dropped to 8th and got to CL final but lost (level 10).

They might be 5* but take a look at the attacking stats. I have players who are 4* but in their position are very strong, so for an attacker train for attacking only and remove physical and defensive...

I won! I used 4-1-4-1 with red arrows on ML, MR , DL, DR and DMC. Defensive, mixed passing, hard tackling, counter attack on. It was a narrow 1-0 victory but possesion was 63% and i was playing away...

Won 2-0! flanks counter on defensive against top of the league . Red arrows on aml amr only. I would do long passing but the risk is you give the ball away more

I'm giving this a go today (451 V, flanks , defensive, mixed, hard tackle, zonal marking) will let you know how I get on!
