If your team is better have you thought to use 442 also?
4141 arrows on cm pass through middle
The problem is some formations are not as effective as they once were, due to tweaks to the match engine. Case in point...
Anyone?
Try 451v
Mentality normal, passing style mixed, normal tackling, zonal defence, tick the counterattack box. focus passing for ND is down both flanks, for WD is through middle
yes, set everything as normal or mixed, with counter on. If you play against wide diamond, red arrows on CMs
4141 will work, focus passing down flanks
Narrow or wide diamond?
4141 works for me, against both diamond formations. pass to flanks for narrow, through middle for wide everything else normal with counter
413n2 should do it, but his squad is still better so formation alone won't stop him. try defensive, counter with long ball and hope to grab a breakaway goal
Has anyone come across this formation before? Should I treat it as 3n43? The guy won the champions league last season, but has spent a fortune on scouts (5 players, 3 at 59, one 58 and a 57) this...
I tend to use 4141 against both diamond formations. Passing focus down flanks for narrow, through middle for wide
Any news on formations to counter with the new match engine, as 41212nd doesn't work, lost 4-0 at home in first leg of the cup
I tend to use 4141 with passing down flanks, or through the middle if you play wide diamond.
That is the arrows, I mean what mentality etc
Edit: just seen it on my computer.
What orders did you use?
3n52, attacking, down flanks, whole pitch pressing mixed passing has always worked for me
Thought about that, but it would leave me short at the back. Was considering the 'TimYoung' special 413n2 to cover his wingers and amc, whilst taking advantage of the fact he has no mcs

Hi, I have been looking ahead at possible opponents in the cup, and have come across a formation which seems a bit odd. He plays a flat back four, dmc, aml, amc, amr and two strikers. Any thoughts on...
More or less as above, but with 3 central defenders and red arrows on flanks, not on mc as your opponents dmc will pick him up, passing to flanks
His team normally average a seven across the board, sometimes higher. He does seem to be on a bad run though, 4 losses and a draw in his last 5 games and has changed his formation to 502n12
Am expecting a backlash from his team, most of his players had poor ratings, only 4 were 7 or 8, he had a player sent off and I only won 1-0. Hence thinking defensive
Tried that last season twice, lost twice. any other suggestions? Was thinking 5131
