4-4-2 imo. I'm still new but seeing my results against 4-4-2 + reading the forum a bit, I lean towards it.

Lost 3-0. Tried ND and 3N-4-1-2. The goals came from corner, freekick, and 30m shot :D
Guess that's it for this seasons CUP, can't turn that around.

Long cuz of counter, depending on how the match is going i switch counter off and passes to mixed or short.

I know there are many threads for the 4-4-2, but this guy has 7 quality above me.
Till now i've beaten 4-4-2 with ND and 4-5-1V (equal quallity or slightly better), but i'm not sure if it'll work...

In that case you can go for a 3N-4-1-2 too.

3N-1-2-3W-1 or a 3-5-2V, should be able to break that def.

I don't know actually :D Without MCs you should stick to this formation but change the orders a bit i guess. I would use red arrows on the DL&DR, ML&MR, DMC&AMC , remove arrows from STs. Attacking,...

3N-DMC-2MC-AMC-2ST is an illegal formation + it's 9 players. (4-1-2-1-2 ND is the legal version of that)
I would use 3-5-2V :

----MC----MC----
-------DMC------...

There is no best tactic, if you want a balanced one go with 4-4-2
