I think you can attack anywhere but I suggest long passing to exploit the space available..

Just use your strongest formation.. Find the weakest spot in his defense and focus your passing there..:D

maybe your opponent have >10 quality difference.. Or you are just having a bad luck..

use formation and tactics that will maximize your st potential.. make sure he is your target man.. Play 4-1-2-1-2 narrow diamond or 5-4-1.. hard defending, through middle, own half, hard tackling,...

Lol. :D . Your second point hurts my feeling.. Because I did it before.. and lost all of my hard earned tokens.. and if I have enough token, maybe I'll power train also..

You know, I have the same experience.. twice.. Losing 4-1 and manage to win 3-0 in my second leg. I sacrificed a little bit of my possession for strong, direct attacks. I used 4-3-3 with my own...

against a stronger opponent, I will suggest to do more defending and counterattacks when you have the chance.. My opinion is defensive, force counterattacks, long passing down both flanks/concentrate...

Just a suggestion: normal, down both flanks, own half, long, zonal, counterattack, no offside trap..

use 4-3-3 with normal, counterattack, and long passing.. use 1 dmc, push one mc up or use amc..

My suggestions:
1. attacking, mixed, tackling normal/easy, own half, mixed, zonal, no arrow
2. (if you have great ml/mr)attacking, down both flanks, tackling normal, own half, long, zonal, arrows...

Many people says that dmc is mainly used to neutralize amc.. maybe that's why 4-4-2 is suggested..
Imo, if your opponent st is very good (5*/scouts/>>), you need to have at least 1 dmc..
But...

what are your scouts? is there any striker?

how about you attack him through middle.. use formation with 3 strikers.. 4-3-3 for example? or 4-1 dmc-2 mc-3 st..

imo, just stick to your formation, put red arrow on your ML, and focus your pass to left flanks..

why don't you try to play 2 dmc? 4-2-1
(mc)-2(aml&amr)-1.. use normal, counterattack, both flanks, long passing.. red arrows on aml and amr.. If I play against this formation, I always try to force...
