Is it real to be a straigh-A student not being a nerd?

I recently entered college and I'm shocked how many students sacrifice everything they like and love for the sake of studies? I'm not ready to be like them, but at the same time, I want to get high grades and succeed in studies. In my college, a lot depends on the quality of written assignments you submit; therefore, I'm searching for some useful resources that'll make my writing outstanding.
