Can you retire a player's number?

Hello, I was checking on this and maybe this could be a suggestion for the future. I have a player on my team who is retiring this season and this player has been the best player in the history of my squad, scoring more goals, giving more assists and appearing in more matches than anyone. I would like to see a feature where I could retire his number sort of in a tribute to that player so that no other player could wear his number again. Is there a way to do this?

Hey digital2500.

You can always edit/change the number of your players. So if you bought some player and if it comes with the number that you don't want to use it you can always change it.

as things are now you cant keep a player more than 4-5 seasons because you have to sell him and buy a better one.
so why should i retire a number of a 25-(?) year old player.does not look good to me.

if i could keep my player up to 35+ then yes i would consider it.

6 - 7 season you dont know you can change player number. So no player can have his number.
