What are the odds that there will be more than 2 players that you will want in a 4 minute auction.
Just bid within the first 30 seconds, chances are it won't be a winning bid but it will move the player and the bidding to the top of the screen.

Still, a pin option is better than unnecessary bid. Basically bringing the player to your watchlist.
