Please explain the new playstyle

I noticed that there is a new playstyle but I do not know why I was able to get several players to have it for absolutely free, Could someone please explain to me how it works? I noticed many of my defenders now run with their backs to the man with the ball and run away from them instead of marking them and tackling them, so what is this playstyle called? How about the player that incessantly fouls the player up the middle right outside of the box especially in the first 5 minutes of the game, what playstyle is that? Is it the free-kick giver? Absurd!
