Level 74 End of season Update

It's been some months since I wrote the last update so here we go again. I know it's basically not the end of the season today, but for us the season is pretty much over already and because I have a bit of time for an update today here in team showcase, I will go ahead.

Firstly the most important fact - We will now complete Level 74 with a very successful campaign and only 2 more levels currently separate us from top of my server, which stayed at 76 this season. So if everything goes as planned, 5 more seasons and we will be at top of the server in October for the first time.

This season we were able to collect 2 titles, the league and the cup.

This was actually the best cup I have ever played, winning every game on course for the title and really crushing some good opponents. In the second round for example we won vs a very good opponent, who beat us before many times, 14:1 on aggregate. It's the 4th cup title in the club career.

Ronny FC (An average german Team)-screenshot_2020-05-21-play-top-eleven-football-manager-2-.jpg

League was also easier than expected. We got drawn with 9 teams who didn't earn promotion last season and were therefor quite strong. With 123% at season start, we were only the 6th strongest side in the league but got off to a hot start nonetheless. Now at the end of the season though we are the strongest side in the league, also without investing a single green pack during the season, which is surprising.
It was a battle of 2 teams for a long time with our rival ARIZONA but at the end he made a few to many mistakes, even though he was the only team beating us so far in the campaign and we win League title number 26.

One more thing I want to mention here, the legend Georgi Asenov, mentioned in other posts here, was overtaken as the all-time leading goal scorer of the club by Cristian Díaz, who is now already at 481 career goals and arguably the best player ever to wear our shirt. He will be with our club for at least 2 more seasons and I hope he can score a lot more goals during these times.

So what are the plans for next season?

Not much really. Not a single player will be replaced, we will player another season with our current starting lineup which is quite strong at 136% right now and will only improve slightly on some of our players with a few rests. I assume we will be in a strong cup next season again and it will probably be tough winning another one of these, CL we might have chances after failing this season in the round of 16 to a very good manager of Arcas FC. League may also be tough with a one-time tanker awaiting, who is currently already at 137% for his level and will be our league rival.
Hope to update here soon again!

Level 76 End of season recap & Plans for the future

It's already been 3 weeks into the new season, so it is finally time for me to update this thread once again - with the update of my last campaign in Level 76, in which I managed to win the first triple crown of the history of my club in Top Eleven.

It really was a phenomenal season and we are now only 1 level below top of the server, that stayed on Level 78. That means only 3 more seasons (remember that this season Level 77 is almost already over when I am writing this, so essentially a bit more than 2 seasons) until we can play with the big guns.

Let's give props to our treble winning team by posting them here and always remember this historic season and squad.

Ronny FC (An average german Team)-squad2_level76.jpg

At the end we didn't lose a single game in this Level 76 campaign, only one draw in a league match was holding us back from the perfect season.

    Future plans

So the plan now is to develop a few young talents, that in 3 seasons, when we hit server top, our oldest player will be 25 years old striker Hamnebukt. This way, every single player in our squad will still have a good development and we can make a big step to close % on top level big fishes, who play there for a long time and stay level every third season.
For this to work, we have trained 3 new young players (DL, ST AMC and DC DMC) this season. Next season will replace GK Rosas and DC Raviat by new 19 year olds and in Level 79 the AML and AMR. After that we will will see how competitive we can be in the first season of server top football, where all others there stayed same level it will probably be quite hard still, even if we invest some greens in young prospects.

When we don't win another treble crown (which this season is not possible anymore, I'm out of cup) I think the next update here in this team showcase will be in October when we hit the server end in Level 80.

Second quadruple in Level 79 and about to hit server top

It's about time guys, if Top Eleven doesn't hold any surprises for me, I should be at the top of my server tomorrow, when I close the gap and become Level 80... The highest level on my server to date.
It has been a long journey, about 20 months or so, when I found out where my server end is and I decided that it is my new main goal in TE to reach it.

And what better way to get there, than with my second quadruple in the level below the top of the server Level 79 ( and also in cup and CL below the highest ones, yeah a bit of manipulation maybe, but it was the last time for sure... ), after I won my first 3 seasons ago in Level 76?

We were the heavy favorite in CL, but in the cup and league we had a strong competitor, who was about as strong as me and did put up a good fight. And he sent me a friend request at the beginning of the season and cancelled friendship when he lost twice in league against me. After that he also lost the cup final in a penalty shootout, so this was quite a funny story as well.

Ronny FC (An average german Team)-level79league.jpg

The squad was really good this season, I end the season on 153%, which is the highest I have ever been.
Of course for server top we will need a good team to compete for trophies, so my plan is to be around the same % start of next season and invest some more ressources. I will try to maintain a 150% at the start of the season for the next months with the greens I have saved up, will see how expensive this will be and how much I have to train tomorrow.

    Squad from this season:

Ronny FC (An average german Team)-level79squad2.jpg

I'm really excited for competing at the top. A lot of good players around, with teams over 150% as well, but tactically strong also. I will keep this thread updated with the stories of my server and you will see if I am able to snatch any trophies around.

Long time without an update here, much is happening and I don't always find the time, nor do I remember to write an update here in the forum. I did win some trophies in the last seasons, including 3 more quadruples which I now have 5 of in total.
However, at least I want to share my players here, who served the club for a very long time and then retired or I needed to sell them as they got old. So that I can remember them here in forum and you guys can follow the progression of my squad over time.
I have a few pictures of players still left on my PC, so I will begin to introduce them here over the next days and then make a new post when someone leaves the club in the future. I think this is not too much effort and I can keep my thread here alive. Like I said, mainly for myself to always remember my players.

Firstly I want to start with a honorable mention here, who unfortunately I couldn't find a retirement picture of, as I must have forgotten to take one...

    Cristian Diaz

A spanish striker and attacking midfielder, freekick specialist, who scored 580 goals for the club and was for some time the leader of career goals at my club. You can see him here in this thread 2 posts above this one, where he was still in the starting eleven at the age of 28.

Ronny FC (An average german Team)-cristian-diaz.jpg

Here is an older picture of him and his stats, when he was 26 years old.

I remember selling him in august last year, after this very season in Level 76 (2 posts above) with 28, to reduce the quality of the team and get an easier draw back then. He played 10 full seasons as a starter and had around 450 appearances for the club. Back then he was one of the first players I powertrained after getting back into the game late in 2019.
A true legend to the club, he is still holding the record for most goals in a single game to date with 7.

    Dmitry Khusnetdinov

Ronny FC (An average german Team)-d.-khusnetdinov.jpg

The next player here in this thread, who definitely will be remembered at the club for ever, is the russian left winger Dmitry Khusnetdinov. Playing at the club as a starter for 10 full seasons, from the age of 19 up to 28 (and after that still as a valuable sub), he has made 472 appearances and during that time scored 333 goals, as well as provided tons of assists from corner kicks (no actual number here as this isn't tracked in player stats unfortunately...)
He was not only part of our first triple winning squad, but of a deadly combination of wingers as well, where the other player on the right side will be introduced in the next post.

    Marcin Nerek

Ronny FC (An average german Team)-m.-nerek-2.jpg

When Dmitry Khusnetdinov played at the left wing, on the right wing was Marcin "The Machine" Nerek's territory.

He always was at the same age like Khusnetdinov and like his russian companion, he was playing 10 full seasons as a starter, from the age of 19 to 28. After that he was serving the club as a sub, before being sold at 32 years of age. During his time at the club Nerek made 466 appearances and he scored 490 goals, netting the 2nd most goals in the history of the club, after Cristian Diaz, at that time. When Diaz was sold, Nerek took on the job of taking freekicks for 2 seasons, and was very successful with it, despite him not having the freekick specialist ability, but the shadow striker and penalty taker.

The Pole will always be remembered as one of the key players having contributed to the club's first ever triple crown, as well as scoring a lot of goals from everywhere on the pitch thanks to his shadow striker ability, which is one of my favourites in the game.

    Mattie Morgan

Ronny FC (An average german Team)-mattie-morgan-1.jpg

Mattie Morgan always was an important asset in the midfield and he was the first MC I powertrained after getting back into the game in late 2019.
Before I trained him I was considering, like many other people, MCs as one of the least important positions in top eleven and was mostly buying scout players on MC. However the Welshman changed my mind and in my current opinion MC is a valuable position for the balance of a formation and a well-trained MC can add a lot of control to your team. (I still think though if you only want to powertrain 4 or 5 players from your starting 11 attackers and DC, GK is more important)

Morgan was joining the team in February 2020, being powertrained and then promoted to a starter in March 2020, in Level 72 with 19 years of age. In his 8-year career as starting MC and afterwards 4 more seasons as a sub in the team, he made 383 appearances, scored 66 goals and contributed some assists as well. He was sold when he was 30 years old.
Mattie Morgan's career will be remembered for winning 2 triple crowns and some other trophies in a successful period of the club. He is a player I have in very good memory, not only because of his cool name, which you can spell very fluently.

    Trent Alexander-Arnold & Carles Puyol

So from here we enter the period where I was hitting top of the server and when I did, I for once decided to rename all my current players back then after real life players... By today I would consider this a mistake, because generally I like the Nordeus generated names very much.
However this doesn't take away from the fact, that all of these renamed players were very important pieces to the club and did have (some still have) successful careers.
I will start with my full-back pairing.

Ronny FC (An average german Team)-taa1.jpg

Trent's original name was Loic Kichenin from France. He joined the club in June 2020 and played 8 full seasons a starter, from the age of 19 to 26, and won the 2 first TCs of the club.

Ronny FC (An average german Team)-puyol1.jpg

Puyol's original name was Petr Frolda from Czech republic. He joined 1 season after Trent and he was also a DR by standard (I couldn't find a good DL back then), however after powertraining him I gave him DC and DL new roles. He was only serving 7 seasons as the starting DL, but he was a very reasonable sub afterwards.

Both players were replaced in Level 83, January 2021, because their training plans were not very good to keep them at high % for long enough. The replacements are still playing today and I'm sure we will meet them later here in this thread.
