Another second placed finish for Lions
Season 20
Go Leo finished runner's up in the league 3 points off the league winners in Season 20. The Lions 6 draws meant that they dropped 12 valuable points which would have seen them crown champions.
In the Champions League, the Lions did not manage to navigate their way out of the group stages, a disappointing campaign which they will have another shot at after securing qualification into next season's tournament.
Osman Mehlem finished top scorer for the Lions, followed by Mark Closeley.
Yvon Josipovic head the assist charts with 18.
As of today, Go Leo have announced the capture of Moroccan goalkeeper, Hatim Azza to replace veteran Nicola Giuliani and further strengthen their defence who last season, conceded only 16 goals in the league.

Entering my 24th season with Go Leo and since the last update (S20), we have not added any new silverware although came close last season, losing the Champions League final on penalties (miserable 1-3 shootout). Here's a brief update on the last 3 seasons

Lots of changes to the squad since Season 20, but Mark Closeley is still with us. The only survivor from that season and now a senior player still commanding a regular start.

One of the star players and newcomer from Season 23, finished top scorer and top assist provider for the club.

The club welcomes these 4 new arrivals for Season 24, whom the club hopes can strengthen the squad to achieve the target of winning one silverware this season.

Season 24, Day 10
Dumped out in the qualifying stage of the Cup competition, Go Leo has made full use of the light fixtures and have climbed to second in the league, despite picking up only two points in their first 3 matches.
Rocky roads ahead predicted though as competition is as fierce as last season. Financially, will suffer slightly without any Champions League football this season, but with 1.86 billion handy, it is not a source of concern.

Season 24, Day 12
It has been slightly downhill since Day 10 with back to back defeats and the Lions find themselves 8th, seven points adrift from the leaders who shocked then 5-1 yesterday. It is going to be a daunting season!

At the halfway point of the league, this is where the Lions find themselves. Difference between #1 & #10 is a mere 6 points.

Season 24, end of season
The Lions makes a return to the Champions League after finishing 3rd in the league, in what was a very tightly contested season. Go Leo lost out by only three points but could look forward to competing in the elite competition next season.
