    San Marino (Irish team)

I'm new to this, but here is my manager history and team: I'm not really sure how to attach photos of my team without editing out the opposing managers pic, friends profile pics or even my own name so i'm going to refrain from posting photos unless I figure that out.

Team: San Marino. It's an Irish team because I can't figure out a way to change that.

    Season 1: League champ (21-2-3)
    Season 2: League champ (24-1-1)
    Season 3: 2nd place league (19-4-3)
Season 4: League champ (26-0-0), 2nd place champions league
Season 5: League champ (24-1-1), 3rd place champions league
Season 6: League champ (25-0-1), 2nd place champions league
Season 7: In progress *League (17-2-1), Champs (7-2-1*eliminated), cup (10-1-0)

My team consist of the following personnel

GK Peter Smith (Irish) Scout (57Q) One on one stoper
DL Harbi Abdel-Salam (Egypt) Scout (59Q) PK specialist
DC/DR Bruno Borda D-Agua (Portugal) World Class (60Q) PK specialist
DC/DMC Akbar Motovaselipour (Iran) Five Star (51Q) Aerial Defender
DR/DMR Artur Stolarz (Poland) Scout (57Q) Defensive Wall
ML/AML Maxime Milanovic (Switzerland) Five Star (51Q) Free kick specialist
MC Tarek Ibrahim (Egypt) Scout (58Q) Corner Specialist
MC Goran Pavlovic (Croatia) World Class(60Q) Playmaker
MR/AMR/AMC Jose Herrara (Chile) World Class (61Q) Shadow Striker
ST John Knol (Netherlands) Five Star (53Q) One on One scorer
ST Augustin Mentaste (Uruguay) World Class (60Q) Corner Specialist

DMC Ki-Oh Kim (S. Korea) Scout (59Q) Corner Specialist
ST Marcel Pukab (Germany) World Class (60Q)
DL/DR Kemar Battiste (Jamaica) Five Star (54Q)
DL Bobby Calder (Scotland) Five Star (51Q) Aerial Defender
MC Scott Walker (England) Five Star (51Q)
ST David Van Eijk (Cook Islands) Five Star (50Q)
GK Chi-Woo Kim (S. Korea) Five Star (52Q)

*Last four positions consist of one star players.

I look forward to reading the other posters team updates and hope y'all enjoy mine!!!

I don't think San Marino is a country option. (there's a few places missing)

    Good luck this Season!

Just opened up the playoff round of the cup with a 3:1 home leg victory. It looked like it would be a more commanding advantage as we raced to a 3:0 halftime lead. To our opponents credit, they fought valiantly in the second half and pulled back a goal in the 78th minute. We played a 4-4-2 flat, the opponent the good ol 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow Diamond.

I would have been more comfortable with the clean sheet, because of the old adage, a 2 goal lead is the least safe lead in sports (especially if the opponent has an away goal). I won't be able to watch the second leg, which is slightly unnerving but I'm not sure it matters that much in determining the actual result.

Played three games since my last match, only watched one though.

    1. Defeated Serkan FC 3:0 on the road. He watched the match, I didn't.

    2. Defeated Ranjo FC 6:0 in the champions league behind a pair of goals from Jose Herrara and Maxime Milanovic. My team played a 4-5-1 V, while he countered with 4-2-3(AML-AMC-AMR)-1. He watched the match, I didn't. My team seems to play better when I don't watch the match!

    3. Played against 1 of the 5 abandoned teams in my league and won easily. I'm level 7 by the way. I'm just reiterating that fact, because 5 abandoned teams in the league is level 2/3 type stuff. I watched the match.

Haven't updated in a while. Team currently sits as 32-4-2 this season.

We did hit a rough 3 game stretch, where I didn't catch any matches where we got trolled with a scoreless draw against an illegal formation with 2 DC's, nobody on the right flank and was 15 Q less than my team. We followed this up with another scoreless draw during the 2nd leg of the cup qtrfinal. against a team 7 Q less, but won the first leg 10:0 so I really didn't care. This was followed up with a 2:1 loss in league play to the current second place team. All three games I ran a 4-4-2 classic!!! It has worked well for me overall this season though, or so I thought.

Things have been back to normal lately, as we beat an illegal formation 11-0 (I didn't watch) in the league yesterday. Today, a 5:1 win against a decent Serkan FC squad was achieved and a 2:0 win against the current 3rd place team was earned on Thursday. We still the league at 16-2-1, 2 points clear of the 2nd place team (16-0-3).

Tonight we play the 2nd leg of the champions league qtrfinal. We're the underdog as the opposing team drew 2:2 at my place and is 3Q stronger than me, although starters are pretty equal. It's going to be a tough game, but it wouldn't be a champions league w/o in the competition being quality.

Just finished the champions league quarterfinal match. Lets just say my decision to purchase the Holland emblem and jersey's is perfect for my team, because just like the Dutch they can't get the job done in major tournaments. As for the result, we went out in dramatic fashion yet again, drawing 2:2, falling 6:5 on penalties.

Maybe solice can be taken the opponent this time was a skilled token buyer and not a 9 man team in the champions league final. Gotta regroup and hope for better results in the cup semi-final tomorrow.

Today, we bounced back from our champions league exit with a 4:0 win in league play against an illegal formation. Overall, it was a rather lackluster performance though.

In the cup semi-final the first leg was a hard fought game, with us striking first for a 1:0 lead, before the opponent equalized 1:1 just 4 minutes later. With roughly fifteen minutes to play, Herrera blasted home a seething rocket from distance for the game winner in a 2:1 victory. Second leg will be played at his place and another difficult game is expected. I played a 4-4-2 classic while the opponent used a 3n-1-4-2. Both managers were active. He changed to a 3-5-2 flat during the match, while I stayed with the 4-4-2. I probably should have switched to a narrow diamond in retrospect though.
