Gunning for the Nordeus Cup: stage 1: massive player sale

A complete and stunning success.

Stage 1, 2 and 3 combined to give me a cup draw of average quality 2 STARS. With a little under 70 tokens saved over the past 3 seasons and some excellent timing, I now have a 5 star first team 3 hours into the new season. With the rest packs saved over 3 seasons, this should become a 6 star first team in a couple of days.

Bar some amazingly bad luck, i should be able to secure the trophy i crave so badly to put an end to my top11 demons.

Interestingly, i am now perhaps the only person in the entire game who knows EXACTLY how the cup draw works.

For those who are curious: it seems my original theory was wrong. Fortunately i took that possibility into account and had taken precautionary measures in order to ensure success. I can safely say that stage 3 was the key, a little stroke of genius if i may say so myself.

Yeah I worked out that the Cup Format was based on your best 14 players, I had 3x 6* squad players going out of contract and had 3x rubbish retiring replacements while my main players were left out of contract, signed them back up, noticed my quality was down 3 points and I got matched with a team that was 3 points lower.

be able to do the treble?

I ask this because I'm also planning to create a team capable of remaking the treble in the coming seasons, and for me it is important to follow your experiment

finally i can officially say it worked =D



even though i had to tank a couple of seasons to save up enough tokens, it was all worth it
and tanking those seasons helped my social life too, so its pretty much win-win ^^

oh and compliments to nordeus; i noticed the graphics of the cup trophy was changed. liking this one better although i'm wondering why my fren's trophy wasn't changed. oh well sucks to be him
