Nothing. You will repeat your actual level until you finish seventh or better. Your advantage will be that the most of your oponents will be abandoned teams or new teams in level. Probably you will pass next level easily next season

Can you lose one level? I mean... now I'm Level 1 and I'll get promoted to Level 2. If in the next League I end up in the low part of the chart, will I decreased to Level 1?
    My team: AC Barcelona

    Season 2 Level 2: Current
Season 1 Level 1: League winner; Cup finalist

the advantage of no promotion is if saved skill point`s and you add on at start of new season then you should be one off the best rated teams

You will be playing in the same level again, your players will not loose a star but they will continue to increase their quality so you might have more chances to promote next season. The disadvantage is ..that you didn't promote lol, in my point of view promoting in levels is more important than number of trophies or other competitions.
    TEAM'S ACHIEVEMENTS(Est.10.5.2011) Season 47/Level ?/League 40
    24 Leagues, 13 Champion Leagues, 6 Cups, 1 Treble.

I believe non-promotion is quite advantageous to anyone that is struggling to compete in the league season after season and will allow you to rebuild your squad and continue to train your players.

Only disadvantages I believe are is no CL, another 4 weeks at the same level (which can be boring to some players) and I believe no prize money from 8th-14th in the league BUT I am still waiting for someone to confirm this is true or not.
