ROYAL RUMBLE CUP - 1ST ROUND, 1ST LEG
pitufos f.c 0-6 July Fourth
pitufos f.c 119.2 4-5-1 V - July Fourth 121.8 4-5-1 flat (Miku OOP), then 67 minutes 4-4-1-1
The RR Cup defending champions July Fourth got off to a perfect start that seen them completely out play their higher level opponents throughout the 90 minutes and it was more than a deserved win, in the first 5 minutes Stuart played a lovely ball to O'Sullivan who smashed it past the keeper and Beckett in his debut was magnificent after setting up Miku for a simple tap in for a 2-0 lead, O'Sullivan continued to lead the July Fourth attack and soon a foul from Graf gave us a free-kick however I never assigned Beckett and I changed it immediately, But Michu took that free-kick and to be fair to him he got it on target, Our next goal came from a 'double corner' through Stuart to cross in to give Michu a header to score. We lead 3-0 @ HT so we gave Watson (Still 4* at the time) a debut run out, and July Fourth still continued to dominate... Fabregas gave away a free-kick and this time Beckett took it and sent it over the wall and into the goal for 4-0. 20 minutes later Miku made it 5-0 from 30 meters, there was a little spell from the home side before Watson in the dying moments got the ball and ran clear with it and took it round the keeper for his first goal for the club.
We can describe our opponents performance today as... Pitiful :D
Goals: O'Sullivan (2) Miku (5,72) Michu (26) Beckett (52) Watson (89) MOTM: O'Sullivan.
Team Talk: I couldn't of asked for any more than what the team delivered this afternoon, just bossed the game from start to finish and the signing of Beckett certainly made a difference as he was creating play from midfield as well as scoring an excellent free-kick on his debut and also Watson was terrific too with his late goal, tomorrow we can fire the reserves on!
This is our best win vs a higher level club in our history!
Bought another scout, a 22yr old MC with playmaker ability. He will reach 7* by morning.
Also we lost our 1th game in the CUP prelims against Fenerbahce with 1 - 0 at home (despite being the better team). Anyway, since the League and CL competition is far more important, we couldn't care less about the result or the CUP for that matter.
Will try to update my showcase by Monday evening.
Guess what I've been doing for quite a lot of the time today?
Yeah, Been on the Power Training again.
a disappointing 1-1 away draw in cup against a minimal opponent (q45). We scored once and we couldn't even watch the goal written on the page that it reappeared but on another colour. We still don't know how we took that equalizer then, as not even commentary shows it lol.
Sunday.
CUP. Preliminary Round. 1st Leg. LONDON CITY (83.2) v MOJO FC (83.4)
Result: LONDON 1-0 MOJO
Goals: Duggan 40
M.o.M: Jonathan Watts
We got ourselves off to a winning start in this cup match between two almost equal quality teams. Terry Duggan scored the only goal of the game, just before the interval, when he finished his own run with a fine goal past the unsighted keeper. We had two debutants playing tonight and they both did reasonably well. Jacob Wilkinson looks a useful striker, and wide left man, Greg Fucillo made a promising first appearance in place of the injured Stig Andersson.
CITY: Miklosko, Haller, Fiksdal, Whyte, Watts, Fucillo, Duggan, Hori, Daniels, Yashin, Wilkinson.
Brazil-Spain is a good example for the 'mimimi possession' whiners here: Spain has 60% possession, but Brazil is absolutely dominating

ROYAL RUMBLE CUP - 1ST ROUND, 1ST LEG
Fermana f.c 0-1 Reddeviljohn
Fermana f.c 80 4-4-2ND - Reddeviljohn 83.3 4-1-3-2
The RR Cup runners up started this season campaign with 4 new signings Crutchlow, Hervias, Burbur & Di Gennaro so it will be interesting to see how long they take it settle in. After a positive start the away side seemed to be having all the play and it was obvious the manager had chosen the correct formation and after 28 mins Holt riffled in a blistering shot that beat the home keeper, but try as they might they could not add to their lead going into the break. The home side started to make some chances in the 2nd half but the away side were defending well especially their DMC, much improved from last season and that is how it finished.
Goals: Holt (28) MOTM: Zouma
Team Talk: The all important away goal has been achieved and on the balance of play the away side deserved their victory and this manager did not think much of their higher opposition.
