why are some of my players on poor or very poor morale?

Winning competitive matches increases a players moral...i think it's +1 per win, 0 for a draw and -1 for a loss...

I'm not sure if this is the whole picture. I've had players lose morale even when I win and they score/assist/get a good rating

While it seems to be true that players lose morale when they are not playing, I think there is more to it than this. Perhaps a more experienced manager can offer some better perspective?
