Narf - I find if you can get players close to 6* at the end of the season, perhaps with SA, it can be a good deal. They are 5* payers for all of the next year. Of course often they only stay for one season, but if you only spent one token then it is still a good deal

Yes, of course - you can make good deals at any time of the season. I myself got a DMC at the end of season 40 and I actually still use him regularly. Just saying - there's always a trade-off and it's logical that not many people spend at the end of the season. Hell, many don't buy after day 13.
