The starting point is MV, the clincher is wage.
For Non Academy players I work on the basis that training goes in 3 broad tranches for slow, medium and fast - if MV/Salary is 10-20 I say slow, 20-30 for medium and 30-40 for fast. Ofc there are are faster slows and average fasts etc as it goes up n down the scale but its my rule of thumb ;) I repeat its my rule of thumb - and you can't change it XD *puts fingers in ears* *la la la*
Fast Academy players can go beyond the 40 due to lower wage structure.
PS. I have similar ranges to Becks which looks like a good rule ;)
