You get boosters packs from friendlies but there is a risk of injury.

Plus you can get a MOM? which is an extra 100 exp to one player which could boost them more than training.

But the you can also get injuries when training. The MOM reward doesn't exists for friendly games. Besides from the booster pack you receive from friendlies, how is the ration "increase in skill" / "decrease in condition" for the two types of skill increase methods?

Friendlies are useful if you really needs packs for healing or improving player morale, but make sure that you didn't play an active team or else you will get into trouble. Power trainings are more focused on skills, which can improve your player. So friendlies for packs, trainings for skill points...

With practice u can get injury also.
Some players like some type of training better than the other.
I got a player that the difference between cardio and practice match is about 10-20exp. While another player is about double.
I like to check all 3 training at hard and a friendly to see what each player like.

In my experience, a player at 99% will get more skill progress if you practice him down to 79% than if you play a friendly and then practice him down to 79%. But, as others have stated, a friendly will game you a green (if you make a sub), maybe a red, and anywhere from -3 to +3 blue packs.
