One last thought for the season - counter attack after a clearance

Lost tonight, again after having almost three times as many shots as my opponent, and i was thinking about the commentary. If a team are defending and make a clearance, how can the opposing team make a counter attack ?
It's not possible yet it's one of the most common displays in the game. You're defending, you make a clearance and it says the opponents are counter attacking.

If they cannot get simple things like this right, why should be believe they care about the more difficult issues ?

Counter attacking is looking to break up the opponents attack and hitting them quickly on the break
