Average points for promotion?

Has anyone given some thought about that? I've been wondering for some time how much points do I need to beat the team at 8th place. I know it's different for every league but I'd like to know with how many points I am for sure on at least 7th place at the end of the season. In my experience, I'd seen teams leveling up with only around 36 points but also with 48.

I would imagine 1.5 points per game would be enough for promotion, 39 points.

Yeah, that's what I thought as well. However, with that many points I think that you'd get promoted about 5 times in 10 seasons. I think that with 43 points the probability for promotion is about 9 out of 10 seasons. Anything above and no promotion is just bad luck. That's my opinion. I might be wrong because I'm only at level 11. Anyone else with more experience?

My target for every season is at least 12 winnings and a couple of draws to be just above the line.

My target for each and every season in the league is to qualify for the champions league around 45 points needed, anything more is normally bonus.

My target is always 1st place. Finished 3rd for the first time last season.
