At last the stewards have manage to clear off the last few remaining fans off the field, yes it really ment a lot to them, considering they were the 8th strongest in terms of manager level going into the cup, We have had to beat higher level opposition in the quarter-final, semi-final and the final to win the cup.

But first lets not forget ΠΑΟΚ who really made it a great final to watch and probably didn't deserve to lose out on penalties again like they did last season, but as we all know there can only be one winner on the day, The ΠΑΟΚ players applaud the fans and collect the runners-up medals walking past the cup they almost won the last 2 seasons. "'You know what we were unlucky, but I believed that they wanted this a lot more than we did and the other teams in the competition and the way they won it dictated that fact."

Even the July Fourth players and fans applauded ΠΑΟΚ as they collected their medals, But its the moment they have waited for and worked really hard for and kept going right to the final whistle in that dramatic semi-final and also todays shoot-out, the July Fourth players go by, collecting their winners medals, one-by-one and hard working central defender Ludek Novotny was given the honor of lifting the cup high infront of all the fans and the cup was passed on to each player to lift the cup high, before parading the trophy around the stadium, there was a special award for Victor Salazar, for player of the tournament.

"We deserved this, we worked hard, kept playing when times were difficult and beat the odds in the semi-final, it was tough again today but we kept on believing we would win during the shoot-out. Special thanks goes to the chairman who put in a great deal of investment and our fans who kept on cheering us all the way."
