4-3-1-2 what to use?

Iknow there are plenty of counter formations but have played against this formation 3 times in the past 2 days 1 in the cl semi vs a slightly stronger team we managed a draw away and the other 2 games vs teams of 10 quality less both of them games I struggled like hell.. had plenty of shots hardly any on target won both luckily but were tough games that show the 4-5-1v formation isn't 'great' vs it.

Would also like tips on what arrows and tactics etc also a plan b setup would be nice im thinking of going for the 4-5-1 with normal mentality and attacking down both flanks reds on aml/amr or go for a super defensive formation to try and hold the game at 1-1 so I go through on gd :D
