HELP! Title-deciding final clash with rival tonight.

    Hello guys,

This evening i'm playing against the team who is 1st in the league and i'm second with only 3 points behind. I have better goal difference (6 goals more than his), so if i win i will be the champion. I already lost the cup final this season and this is my second season (i have not won a trophy yet), so i really must beat him. His team is slightly weaker than mine.

His formation is 3-4-1-2. His defenders are 3 DC's, right and left wing defending midfielders. In front of them are two MC's (one of them is a Dribbler and the other is a Free kick Taker). His attack consists of two strikers (one Goalscorer) and an attacking midfielder.

My default formation is 4-1-3-2 with which i get results like 9-0, 10-0, 8-0 and 6-1 most of the time.

I have four defenders (one of them is a Blocking/Defensive Wall). In front of them are 1 MC and one ML. Then there are my AMR (Free Kick Taker), who is the leading goalscorer and my best player (26 rating). So in the attack i have two strikers, AMC and AMR.

What do you guys think i should do to win this match? I have all kinds of players and enough tokens and coins for two more good players

The match is in 5 and a 1/2 hours so i really need to figure out the best strategy and will be grateful if you guys help me

so his formation is 3N-2W-2-1-2 ??? if so the counter is 4-1-2-1-2 (Narrow Diamond) to that, but others who know better will let you know.

No, he beat me 1:2 but back then my team was weaker than his. I was playing with only one striker and my defenders were not that good.

Can i use my AMR/MR, 26 rating, 20 year old, Free Kick Taker, who scores many goals as my right MC or should i use a 22/23 rating MC player?

And where should i put my better striker (he is right footed) - left or right? I'm talking about 4-1-2-1-2

Playing a player OOP (out of position) is a last resort, using the MC in his natural position will strengthen the midfield whatever quality he is. Good luck

I think you're good to go tbh.

There's no one formation, IMHO, that is best to counter another, because we don't know what orders are given in the background.

    I never use AMR/AML or DML/DMR

I usually play 4-1-3-2 or 4-3-1-2 or even just plain 4-4-2 I find works against strong teams.

Its interesting that peeps have different thoughts on things..I played a player out of position in CL final and in the semi to great effect, but its down to your own thoughts really....good luck and let us all know as to pip them at the post at the final hurdle is sweet, i did that in season one...kept pegging away, had advice from Cracicot and won the title on the last game of the season, ok it was half bot teams in the league but it felt good.
