Perfect Tactics - Season Review, Part 1
With one more match to come for us, we write the first part of our season review. This is aimed at the players more than our results.
Player of the season:
Shlomo Shlimazl
One of our highest scoring players and assisters this season and deserving of the player of the season award and scored an important goal in the final of the CL. He has been consistent since we got him but Petersen had always pushed him out with his unstoppable run of form. His assist rate puts him ahead of Suparman who didn't miss it by far.
Young player of the season (U21)
Bojan Milosavljevic
We signed him last season and he has come through the ranks to be a solid defender. He's also our most expensive player and at the age of 19, there is a lot of promise for his future. Bojan racked up 5 goals and a MOTM which isn't too bad for a defender.
Signing of the season
Batman Bin Suparman
Without a shadow of a doubt, he has been our best signing this season with over 20 goals in his first season at the club. He has taken over free kick duties from Petersen and scored 4 goals on his debut. He will be PTed back to 7* next season.
On the up
- Zenith Zenzizenzike - A massive improvement from last season and he is finding his feet. His partnership with Shlomo Shlimazl has been incredible this season.
- Shlomo Shlimazl - Consistent as ever, player of the season.. Enough said.
- Luke Warmwater - Another defender who has improved by a lot this season.
- Xande Van der Zande -One of our most improved defender this season. A few seasons ago we were close to selling him but he has found his form and has been solid in defence. Joint most MOTM this season.
Going down
- Chano Petersen - A huge decrease in form but it was expected as he has hit 5* now and is slowly depreciating in effectiveness.
- Gaylord Silly - He has been a flop this season, absolutely terrible.
- Lee Vittalone - Dropped in form, not as effective as he once was.
- Antonio Nascimento - Again dropped in form and it hasn't been his best season at all. Mainly due to playing him OOP but even when he was playing as an AML, he didn't produce the attacking threat that he used to.
- Chano Petersen Jr - Well, what can I say? A replacement of Chano Petersen hasn't even come close to replicating his stats. Disappointing season from him.
Part 2 to follow after our final league game.
