If you stay on the same level you don't lose a star. Do you have a previous screenshot and a new screenshot?
I'm in same level, no I didn't save the old screen shot :-(
check your player quality if it is the same, nothing to be worried. Check also scout liste and tranfer list, if you can buy new 5* and new 6* player, it would be great
