    Formation

    Hi
My opponent is playing 4-1-2-3 and I found in a stickie 4-1-4-1 is the best formation to counter this. How do I place my players? Is it defening dr-dc-dc-dl and then dmc, mr-mc-mc-ml and one st? Or do i have to place my players in an other formation?

How important is the formation? Is it more important to place lesser players o the correct formation to counter you opponents or do i have more chance of winning when I place my best players on the field but not in the best formation to counter your opponents?

I hope you understand it sorry for my english

I tend to go with my top eleven most times. Unless I'm playing much weaker opponents, I'll give the younger lads a run out and try some other formations. Seems to do the job.

If in doubt, a strong 4-4-2 beats most odd formations if the opponent is lower Q than your side. No matter what formations people throw about, 4-4-2 is still extremely solid.
It's all luck, nothing more. Whether bad or good.
