The Game
Elipold Simaga opened the scoring with a well placed volley in the 16th minute, after missing a similar chance just moments earlier. In the 26' Nathan Ogunkoyo played a lovely pass to Tom Cahill to plant it in the back of the net from range. After half-time fc. barcelona gave it there all, but United's defense held strong. It wasn't until the 76' when substitute Kilment Graham scored after running onto a through ball by Tom Cahill. The teams 4th goal came just moments before full-time when Mark Owen climbed above the defence to head home a corner. A good win, but many chances were missed by both teams.

Whoops! I meant to say no flight back to Manchester, the league game against Fener has been moved, I'm freezing my nut's off admiring the 'Northern lights' at the minute.

Chronicles from The Eagles...

League: For the 4th time in 4 seasons, the newly christained The Eagles have won the league! It was a routine 3-0 win for us away to fc meximious in the round 23fixtures, with goals from O.D.Ben getting a brace for his 33rd goal in 22league matches. There was no celebration amongst the players or team management - for this was the minimum standard set at the begining of the season (any left and the manager will get the boot). That said, a few supporters have taking to street of melbourne (the sport capital of the world) blarring their horns et al. However, in the team camp- there is palpable fair as the boys prepare to take the 7hrs flight to Poland for the 2nd leg of the CL semi finals, with the 1st leg ending a goaless draw at home against a marginally better side. Also due to the recent transfer activities over the past 48hrs, only 16player will be traveling for the trip - all injury free. It promises to be a tactical battle. And we have consulted a friend in the house , to fine tune the strategy for the match. The boys have promised to give their all in the match...

Cup Finals - The eagles will also take to the pitch in 24hrs to play Welsh wizard fc in the cup finals.
