Question Selling a player one skill point from next star... why?

I've searched this forum trying to find an answer, but no one seems to say why.

Question: I've seen a number of people say 'put your player on the transfer market if they are one skill point or *4/*9 quality from the next star.

Why is it a good idea to do this?

I've also seen people say, if you have a player one skill point away from the next star and its near the end of the season, wait until next season before taking them to the next star... again, why?

    Any help would be great!

more bidder`s esp at start of season which should result in getting more money in the bank than his actual value

It's just easier to sell the player because more managers look for this when buying a player, I've got some players that are 1 point away from the next star but no-one has made a bid via negotiations. There is also an increased chance of a bidding war.

If the player is a 3* player and 1 skill point away from the next star, a person two levels below you will see the player as a 5* and 1 skill point away from being a scout.

If you allow him to gain that 1 skill point, the player is now a low 4* player, no longer accessible to players 2 levels below you and will be the worst possible 5* player available to a player just one level below you.

Yes what he said.. But, I think having a player with 4/9 quality is sufficient as a lot of people play via phones most of the day and more detailed skills cannot be seen via phone..

Half true. You cannot see detailed skills directly using smart phones but..there is an indirect way to calculate them. All you need to do is compare the player on transfer list with one of your own players and calculate yourself how many points he needs till next star.
