Longest duration for which u have kept a player???

Its just a thread so that u all can post who has stayed in your team 4 the longest durations. Is he still playing or not. How did u buy him, how good was he( he has to be good as he was in your team for the longest duration), what position , if u sold him then why and 4 how much, etc. You may also post about the player that has been with u for the shortest duration!!! So recall your memory.

I'll start-
Longest Duration: Hedi Pujol( bought him in season 2 and stayed till season 6 start.) I spent the more no. of tokens on him than I have spent on many players, that's 5!!! he was 5 star AMC, he was the top scorer in his 1st season and the second season. he turned 5 star frm 4 star in his second season. in his third season he missed the top scorer by some 2-3 goals as he had been injured for 4 matches. In his fourth season i.e my fifth season, he was 3 star. Played half season in starting 11 but the rest of the team was much better and he cudn't keep up so he went in subs. Played only 10 matches that season in playing 11 and scored about 5 I guess. Played once or twice as sub in the middle of the game and I rmember he saved us from ko in ch. league quarters by an 89th min goal. Next season he was two stars. I was sad while pressing the sell button on the fourth day of the season. so I didn't. He played his last match which was a tribute to him that day in the league. He didn't score but he assisted. but I cudn't keep him for long so sold him that day for about 1 million. He was 27 then, still quite young. If I had a team hall of fame he would have surely been there. It was a bit long, I got emotional. :P

shortest duration: Some dumb Goktas last season. He played one match only in which he missed 2 one on ones and even a penalty given to him. he was 4 star but has high attacking skills. And the best part, he got injured for 8 days in the same game in the 85th min. Bought and sold him on the same day. Had a loss of a token and a few grands!!!

I have a few players at level 7, that I bought at level 3, I think. They were young scouts, so I wasn't letting them go for nothing. trained them up and they're still going good - they're now reserves, but get a run out for non important matches.

As a newbie, in season 3, I sold my best player at 28yrs, for the cash to strengthen the squad with two younger players at higher grading.
Although they are not as outstanding as their predecessor, the rotation has worked in the cup and league.
Did I do wrong?

My 18 year old defender centre. I also thought I inherited him in the team but another look, see he was a different nationality so I must have bought him. This guy is a fast trainer and has been my best defender every season until this one. Has aerial ability as well. So lucky I somehow got him.

Probably got another two seasons in him.

TLDR: 6 seasons.

I am on Season Six, I have 4 players from my original squad. I also have a couple I bought first season, as well.

At least I got the correct lettrs in;)

Mr Kat, wasta weather like by you. And how are your teams and players performing. Is it worthwhile holding onto a good performer or farm him out fr breeding proposes?

I have a player at my club who is playing his 11th season for the club.

Over 425 appearances, 400 assists and 500 goals to his name.

My longest serving player at my club was the original Stacey Papaleo, clocking up a total off 11 seasons at the club between L2 and L12 before being sold as a 2*73 player at the beginning of L13... Scored 388 goals in over 400 appearances.

And what do you do when Stacey Papaleo gets too old and declines? We get ANOTHER Stacey Papaleo of course!

Our current longest serving players at the club are Aaron Ramirez (9 Seasons) followed closely by Hatsune Miku (8 Seasons).

Our is Dennis Heller. I have him from level 1. I play the game 7 seasons and now level 6

It is worth keeping the player if you can keep his stars competitive. As they get older it can be a lot to do that! But my captain is 27 and 4* and still gets 7/8 ratings. :)

I had a GK, Silva Peres, who was with me from when I bought him as a 18 years old till the day he retired. I used him as my number 1 keeper until he was about 29ish, then he was my reserve. In the end he retired when he was 34 years old with 2 stars. I didn't have the heart to sell him. Good times. :')

My current club captain Liam Flitcroft. Defender LC. Signed him as a 4* 18 year old. he's now 23 and in his 6th season. Still a fast trainer and is about 20 skill points away from 6* this season. Will keep as long as possible.

Shortest... signed a woeful scout 2 seasons ago. in 8 games he got 2 red cards. and got a 4 rating 4 times....

I'm only on my 4th season so I'm not going to be anywhere near the lengths most of you guys have(hmm, I think I'm talking about the topic content)

I have 4 players still in my squad from season 1. 3 of them are still in my first team, I just recently replaced the 4th. He was in the team when I started, and is a fast trainer.

Of the other 3 One is a scout bought striker and he's been pretty good. Though at the end of last season his form fell away and he was struggling to score.

The other two were my first buys in the transfer market. They're my two favourite players, and they've contributed massively to the team. I got wicked lucky when I signed them. One is a central defender, and the other an attacking midfielder. They both trained quite fast, though the midifelders improvements have fallen away a bit. They both score a bunch of goals and get MoM a lot and the midfielder gets a ton of assists. Last year the midfielder had most MoMs in team, the season before it was the defender. So far this season the midfielder has scored half my goals, double what both strikers combined have scored, and just under half all assists from my team. He's just an utter f&#king boss.

I see most of u guyz power train u rplayers to keep up their quality. Unfortunately, I can't do that as I don't buy tokens.

My defender Thiago Silva played around 435 appearances for my club.

With Ramirez sold at the beginning of this season our longest serving player still at the club is Hatsune Miku (10 Seasons).

Champions league final in year 2. No score and neither team is breaking through. Then my best striker gets injured right at halftime and I have to substitute my third choice striker, who was an original player on my team and had been good in year 1.

H proceeded to rack up 3 goals in short order and led my team to a 3-1 victory.

I can't bring myself to sell him now. It's the end of year 3 now, he barely played this year and didn't score, and he'll be a 2-star player next year. And he just sits in my reserves :(

You've given me an idea! :D

I quite often look at really old threads. They were Lot more interesting then the recent ones ;)

I never keep them more than 1 season.
I'm lev 3, the day after tomorrow i'll be lev 4.
No matter how good they are, if they are less than 4 stars, they will be no good.
So, make transfers in the last days of the season, buy good grades 5 star players.

I normally don't keep players past 24/25 but I currently have a player who's about to turn 28 that I've had for about 6/7 seasons. Only reason I've kept him is he can play as a ST & AMC & AML and has a shadow striker trait. He's currently 6 stars. I'll probably keep him for another season & get rid.

Eh, bumping dead old *interesting* thread is a good thing. I like this topic, as I do not like selling players. I wish I could keep some of my guys forevers. :D

Mismilliano Porceddu, my veteran left back with Defensive wall SA is now officially my longest serving player. This is his 4th year in the main team. But I feel he will not remain in the main team for long as he is now only 3* and as soon as I am able to buy a suitable replacement for him, he will be my sub. I am planning to sell him early next season.
He has been an exceptional player and that is why he has been able to stay 4 years in my club, wherenplayers rarely stay for o seassons. He still gets good ratings of 7 or 8 with occasional goals as well(last season he scored 4 goals, highest among the defenders)
