Buying tokens v Tanking

I'd be interested to hear what other players on here would think of my squad next year. First of all, let me say that I am trying to tank this season, to start afresh next time. But this is the scenario.

To start with, I must say I do purchase a small amount of tokens each season, but not enough to fill my squad with scout players. However, because I've tanked 2 of the last three seasons, and hopefully again this time, I could start next season with a minimum of 17 players of scout quality or better (indeed there could be 4x8*). Now if you were put into the same league as me and didn't know better, would you immediately assume I'm a token buyer on a large scale and would I get slated for having such a strong team on these forums?

I think it's great that you have the patience to create such an awesome team! Your opponents might assume you were buying T, and I bet your Cup is going to be tough.

the way i know if token buyer or tanker with the squad is when i look at their squad i see what and if what they won the season before, if nothing then tanker if all under the sun token

No, I look at the trophies, and the whole squad. If the whole squad is not scouts, then he/she is not a large scale Tommy, for the most part. Not only that, but I look at the stadium. If thats all the way built, beware, as he is a serious token buyer.

This may not always be the case, but when I go and bid on players, I check this to make sure I am not wasting my time and tokens. If I see either of these two, I bow out early. That is not to say that I wont put in an initial bid, since sometimes they just put in a bid to scare people off so they get players on the cheap, but some of the time they dont really need the player and will bow out themselves after a round or two. I have won a few just like that.

So to answer your question completely, if I dont see a full squad of scouts, a good stadium and trophies, then I know its not a serious Tommy. They would normally all have SA's as well. And a number of them change names to their favourite players. All signs of a Tommy.

I also look to the date he started and the level he is, that way i know If he tanked or just bought a lot of tokens.
