Is handling only usefull for GK's?

Is a good score on handling only useful for GK's?
In other football games it usually is, but on the top11 wiki I read the following;

Handling – Determines how well a player is able to keep the ball when tackled.

That would mean that it is also very useful for wingers and other offensive players.

Can anyone tell me how 'handling' should be interpreted in top11???
