Don't know if I would say I had a better striker, but earlier on in the year, I got an 18yo academy striker that I trained up. Although he only ever made it to 6*, he did learn 2 new positions (AML/AMC). He played 6 seasons for me, and when I decided to let him go, he was worth around 23M. I think because of his extra positional roles, a bidding war broke out and I eventually received 72M for him.
