I do believe that your theory is absolute rubbish! - There is no evidence of this at all! Attacking teams don't run more than defensive teams they simply set up more attacking. Defensive teams . harder in there own half and attacking teams work harder in the opponents half

arrows do tire them out more, but I haven't noticed a big difference in style, but then, I rarely use attacking.
press whole pitch wears them out faster, too.
