You can't buy 5 star players. The maximum is 4 in the market and by Negotiations. The only way to get a 5 star player is through the scout. Or buy a 4 star player at the top of his Quality level (just before he hits 5 stars) and train him up.

If my understanding is correct you will never see a 5 star player on the market.
