Seventh Heaven - Day 27
Today we faced Ottomans at home, A very difficult fixture since the normal result is a draw between us, but this time was the first time we really played well against them. We decided to use the X-mas tree against the 3N-2W-3N-2 thats been troubling us despite us using the known natural counters, We squandered many chances before the breakthrough came from an unexpected source with Papaleo providing Harrison with only his 2nd of the season, Then Kusama was injured and Benayoun 99th career goal scored from the free-kick directly from it, Miku-Zidane missed a chance as well as Benayoun coming close from scoring a landmark career 100th goal and eventually our 3rd came from a Petersen corner for Papaleo to make it 3-0 midway in the second half, Ottomans pulled one back from Gajko, but we were able to fend off the final 20 minutes to win the game 3-1, Then we had a 3 hour wait to see if there was any good news for us from the OFI v El Capo, Sadly not to be with a Nikolov double winning the game 2-0 for El Capo to keep their hopes alive in the title race and ensure we must beat Fontanellese in a away game tomorrow to win the league. We do have a good record against Fontanellese winning all of our previous meetings so we can be confident of winning.
Still to come.... CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL @ 22.15!!! (UK time)
