game engine changed to make people panic buy more tokens

Over the last few days i have noticed more people coming on this forum to complain that they are not getting the results they think they should against weaker teams ? I myself have had some bad results that leaves me scratching my head as to why this has happened ??
I peronally believe that the developers have tweaked the game engine to make these results more common and to make people buy more tokens to strengthen there team {panic buying}
I am by far the best team in my league by at least 5 or more ave quality to my nearest rivals and i have already drawn 3 and lost 1 so far this season and have struggled to score goals not 1 of my players are into double figures this season ?
The amount of times my player just has keeper to beat but it goes wide or over the bar is laughable or is this just a trick for me to buy tokens so i can buy new strikers ??
I would rather close games 2-1 1-0 etc than winning 6/7/8 nil everyday as game would get boring
But i do believe these freak results are aimed to make people panic and buy more tokens .

I was winning games in the league by 6s and 7s last season, now its 2s and 3s and I have had a draw against a side 10+ quality weaker than mine, I have a feeling the magnitude between 2 teams quality have been halved, possibly encouraging more closer games and perhaps an increased chance of a draw.

94quality vs 89quality is 5quality difference - game engine may look at it now as 2.5 difference rather than 5.
94quality vs 84quality is 10quality difference - game engine may look at it now as 5 difference rather than 10.
94quality vs 74quality is 20quality difference - game engine may look at it now as 10 difference rather than 20.
94quality vs 64quality is 30quality difference - game engine may look at it now as 15 difference rather than 30.
94quality vs 54quality is 40quality difference - game engine may look at it now as 20 difference rather than 40.
94quality vs 14quality is 80quality difference - game engine may look at it now as 40 difference rather than 80.

I think the relative strength between 2 teams has been halved. Possibly a good thing for the competitiveness for Top Eleven.

I've been thinking the same thing, Julio. It's a quite logical conclusion based on what we're seeing. And if it's true, then that's a good thing IMO. It helps with the cup situation with the wide disparity in quality, and it makes the game more playable for everyone so you have a chance against the token buyer with the all scout++ team. On the other hand, it makes the token buyer upset that they can't just throw some money at the game and destroy every opponent - but they're not actually playing the game anyway ...

Exactly my point aimed at token buyers to buy more tokens !!!

this is where size of squad helps me as i need change of formation and tactic`s, so no panic token buying from me :)

I think this is a good thing if it's true, like already said, for competitivness. Only thing I don't understand is why would people want to buy more tokens now? Those who actually like competition that won't be so easy won't need another billion tokens because of that but will rather focus a bit more tactically, but it's opposite to those who actually want to "win with money"- for those best thing could be to have a button during game that says "WIN MATCH- __ tokens" so that they could click on it and get what they want the best way they could- with ease.
I like what they did (if they did what July said) because now when I face a stronger opponent I know I haven't lost already in advance- it makes the game less token-based which was a thing I kinda complained about when I started playing T11.

Whilst anything is possible I don't think goals for and against have been altered.
Checking my records over the last three seasons there is always a dip mid season.

As per my sig last three seasons GF 4.02 GA 0.37 per game
This season 28 games played GF 120. 4.28 GA 0.28 per game.
If anything it's the reverse.

Also my own stats tell me historically there is always a slump around game 22 and normally runs to game 30 ish, could be coincidence only time will tell.
Needless to say after the cup defeat of 0-2 and the 1-0 win that day, the previous days 2-1 win maybe I should have seen it coming so I've gone normal mentality for a few days, we'll see how it goes from there, attack is a definite no! for me at the moment.

I think these changes are for the better, Token buyers will still have the advantage of being able to build better squads, invest in booster packs, but you do want the game to be competitive still for the non-token buyers so tat they keep playing as well, Most non-token buyers can still build a good squad, Potemy is a good example of doing it at Level 15 with a budget of just 35 tokens/season or you can spend time rather than money doing the offers from the 3rd party providers mainly by watching videos to give you extra tokens.

I also facing the same issue.

I was planned to continue with my last season squad as i am 15 qualities higher.

My strikers, 20 yrs 33-52-50 stop scoring. He used to score 40 goals in past 2 season but now. and my midfield performing at rating 5, nvr goes up to 7. In the end, i have spend 100buck to make changes.

However, it is acceptable. Look at fernando Torres, he used to be goal score machine but now.... also kaka, once he was a hero....
So, thats normal to me.

I believe you all aldy read my previous posts. Thats what i found ridiculous and hard for me to accept.

i agree to this. something is different in the league this season. my team is the best rated in the league. i have already lost 4 games this early in the season. that's probablly equal or more than my total loses in the last 3 seasons. my goal difference this season is a pathetic single digit.

I don ´t know what to say, I won two league games by a small margin, then game 6 of CL only 1-0 at home (won all other by 4 to 7 goals) I was starting to question and yesterday 10 - 0 again......
Well to be honest, i prefer to win slightly ( at least you enjoy your win) than crushing opponent by rugby score!!
Maybe the changes you are mentioning affect more players at higher level because at level 2 I do not really see a change compare to last season ( or after login issue)

Woah, OK, this thread got out of hand. I don't mind people discussing the game engine, but flame wars aren't allowed. Please feel free to make another thread on this subject, but without arguments.
