Why do people still belive that only the 24T players are good?
I already put here pics that prove thats not True, you can have a 15T youth better that a 24T one. Just look for there market value, not for the price in tokens.
Today i sign youth player for 21T, 4*. he train incredible fast and will become part of my main team soon :)
Youth player out today... 18T, 4*(45) DC...still discussing with club board on whether it is worthwhile to offer him a contract.
Considering I have a few DCs that are retiring in a couple of seasons, I am very much inclined to but 45....hmmmm

My youth striker, I trained him up to Free kick specialist and 'scout' level, he hardly scored in the few games at the end of last season as he was just training, but got 14 goals in 8 games so far this season!!
Well worth it!
I have had a GK,DC,DL,DMC,MC, and ST.
I think it must just be bad luck in your case, or as you said, your youth coach is defensive minded.
He was probably from a defensive military squad.
Another 3 goals today, 17 from 8 games now, last 4 ratings have been 9-9-9-9. It's been worth the wait all these seasons to finally get a youth striker!;)
Today I got two Youth players DC/DMC 2* and a MC 4*(14T). Please suggest what should i do with them?
Well, it depends. Do you have room in your squad to sign someone? If so them sign the free one, and sell him for $$ or keep as a bench player and train for awhile and sell later. Is the MC an upgrade from what you have? If not release him into the wild...
I realize this is an old thread, but was wondering if there are any new thoughts on the youth academy players. I just got my first two ever.
The free, two star player doesn't seem worth cutting one of my current players in order to sign and sell.
The 18T player is low end 4 star, but I can buy 18 year olds nine quality levels higher on transfer market. The main issue seems to be "spend tokens for player of unknown value and only one position vs. spend cash for player of known value, higher quality, and positions of my choice". Might be worth it once the transfer market gets more competitive at higher levels, but for now there is too much transfer market value to make youth academy players worthwhile.
Any insight from those who have done this before? Some confirmation would be reassuring before I pass on this opportunity. Thanks.
